about us

Built with Care. Backed by Experience. Grounded in Something Real.

Carmella’s Upholstery is a small, family-run shop based on the coast of New England, built around the kind of work that holds up over time.

We focus on pieces that are meant to be used. From boats, sleds, off-road equipment, and everyday items that see real wear. The goal is simple: restore them properly, rebuild them where needed, and return them ready for whatever comes next.

at the center of it all

Carmella

Carmella is more than a name.

She’s a rescue pup with an old soul, and the constant presence in the shop. She's steady, observant, and always close by. The pace of the work, the environment it’s done in, even the way projects are approached all reflect who Carmella inspires us to be.

Nothing rushed. Nothing careless. Everything done with attention.

That standard carries through every piece that leaves the shop.

Luke — Craftsmanship

Every project runs through Luke’s hands.

With a background in fashion design and over a decade of professional sewing experience, his approach is rooted in structure, material knowledge, and precision. What started in apparel evolved into a focus on how something is built, how it wears, and how it holds up under real conditions.

The result is work that isn’t just clean, it’s built to last.

Laney — Operations

Laney keeps everything moving.

From customer communication to materials sourcing and day-to-day operations, she ensures each project is handled with clarity and care from start to finish. With years of operational management experience, she brings a level of organization that allows the work itself to stay focused and uninterrupted.

Nothing gets lost, overlooked, or rushed.
